Overview
Registro is a local-first app designed to keep your location history private. All location data is stored on your device and is never uploaded to Rosenbergs LLC servers.
Data We Collect
- Precise GPS coordinates, altitude, speed, heading, and accuracy
- Timestamps for each location point
- Activity classification (walking, driving, etc.)
- Trips, places, and notes you create
- Imported Google Timeline data (if you choose to import)
How We Use Data
- Location data is used to display your location history, routes, and trips within the app.
- All processing happens on your device.
- Rosenbergs LLC does not receive or process your location history.
Third-Party Services
- Apple Maps and place lookup services on iOS may process individual coordinates under Apple's privacy terms.
- Google Maps on Android may process map usage under Google's privacy terms.
- These services are used only to display maps and look up place names.
Data Sharing
Rosenbergs LLC does not share your location data. Exported files (JSON, GPX, KML) contain your precise location history and should be handled carefully.
Data Retention
Location data remains on your device until you delete it. Rosenbergs LLC does not retain any location data on its servers.
User Choices
- Enable or disable background location tracking at any time.
- Delete specific days, trips, or all location history within the app.
- Export your data in JSON, GPX, or KML format.
- Uninstall the app to remove all stored data.
